Our Policies
Thank you for choosing Pride and Passion for your pet's grooming services. We appreciate your business and in turn we will provide quality services and loving care for your pet as if it were our own. Our first and foremost concern is doing what is best for your pet. We also want your pet's time with us to be a pleasant and relaxing experience.
Sometimes certain circumstances warrant additional time and effort. This may be your pet's first grooming experience and your pet may be afraid of the dryer or the clippers. We allow time between services just in case and also take your pet out for potty breaks. However, behavioral problems may already exist as a result of prior unpleasant grooming experiences. We will do our best to try and work with your pet to help him/her overcome their fears and anxieties.
Sometimes pets that have not been groomed for some time will have very matted coats. De-matting is the process by which the matted fur is separated with a special tool and removed to provide a tangle free coat. As a pet stylist, I want your pet to look and feel their best. However, these services and certain other situations take extra time which may warrant an additional charge. We charge $6 for each 15 minutes of additional time, if needed.
We greatly appreciate your understanding regarding our policies and will make every effort to advise you of any additional charges in advance, although in some cases we may not know until after we start working with your pet. We will provide a preliminary examination of your pet's skin and fur when you arrive for your first appointment and we will give you a written estimate if we feel additional time and effort is needed for your appointment. At that time, you will be asked to sign the estimate stating that you understand all charges pertaining to the services, but that it is only an estimate. The charges may be more or less and you agree to pay for all services rendered when you come to pick up your pet.
We feel our pricing is fair for the special care and handling we provide for your family member. Hence our motto, "We take pride in our services because we are passionate about pets!"
There are other grooming establishments where the cost may be less, however they may not provide the care and extra attention that we feel is important for your pet. Thank you for your understanding.
Appointment Cancellations & No Shows
We appreciate at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or changes to your appointment. If you do not show up for your appointment, we require a deposit of half of your estimated services in advance when scheduling your next appointment. This can be in any form of payment that you choose. If you keep the appointment, your deposit is applied to your services. If you do not keep your appointment, you forfeit your deposit. We appreciate your understanding regarding our policies as we have other customers waiting for appointments and we strive to provide the best service possible to our clients.
Vaccination Requirements
We require all animals entering our shop to have current vaccination records prior to services being rendered. Please bring your pet's records with you when you arrive for your appointment and we can make a copy for our file. They must have vaccinations for DHLPP and Rabies. This covers distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parainfluenza, parvovirus and rabies. Bortadella is advised but not mandatory. This protects others as well as your own pet from any infections that could make them ill so please come prepared. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding regarding our policies.
Thank you,
Cheryl Wiegand - Proprietor
